Much is demanded of women today as we learn to juggle both career and family demands. I see this in my own life and hear it from my patients. I believe it is important to achieve balance and not overlook your health. As an Internist, I am committed to the health of all my patients, male and female, but I am a special advocate for women’s health. There are many women today who still believe that heart disease does not affect them or that colon cancer is primarily a “male” disease. I believe in educating my patients and helping them take an active role in their health.
